What does it mean to be catfished?

A “Catfish” is someone who pretends to be someone that they are not online. This person may completely assume a fake identity or, even worse, steal the identity of someone in real life. In many situations, the individual goes above and beyond to make their victim believe that they are exactly who they claim to be. Some are Catfished for weeks and for others it’s years. It happens most frequently on dating apps and website.
 

what are some common reasons people catfish others?

People are motivated to Catfish others because they are lonely and insecure. They want to experience love, friendship and/or affection but may believe they are unworthy of receiving any of those feelings. In other cases, people are just mentally and emotionally unstable so they feel the need to assume another individuals characteristics. Other major reasons include financial gain, sexual desires, engaging in a fantasy, cyberbullying, and/or seeking revenge. Blog post coming soon.

is there a minimum amount of consultations?

No! I’m here to help you however I can. Wherever you are in your journey, I want to be a resource for you. We can spend as few or as many sessions as you like working through your situation.
 

how do the text message packages work?

When you select a pack of texts it is the total number of times that I will text you. For example, if you select a pack of 25 text messages then we can have a conversation where I will respond to you 25 times. Each text can be up to 600 characters.
 

can we facetime during consultations over the phone?

Absolutely! If it makes you more comfortable to have a video call I am more than happy to do that. Being able to see each other may make it easier to connect and understand one other.

Will my personal information & story be kept Private?

Yes, I would never share your story or information. In the case where I would be interested in doing so, I would never do it without your consent.

can i legally press charges against my catfish?

In some circumstances, primarily when financial transactions are involved it can become a legal matter. For legal advice with your specific circumstance you may want to consult an attorney.
